The Effect of Blend, Mordant and Waste Ratio on Dyeing of Denim Products with Coffee Waste

Natural dyestuffs, which took the place of synthetic dyestuffs in past, have started to be used consciously again thanks increasing understanding 'environmentally friendly textile'. These natural are mostly obtained from plants or food waste. Coffee is most consumed nutrient world after water. Therefore, there a lot waste coffee nature and it contains pigments that give its color. In this study, products with different fiber contents (100% cotton, 98% cotton 2% elastane, 80% 20% recycled cotton) were dyed using waste, mordant substances (aluminum sulfate, chitosan, quetemary ammonium compounds). It has been tried reduce amount by dyeing wastes at rates weight (1/1, 2/1, 4/1, 8/1). Thus, aimed provide less environment increase color efficiency making more sustainable process. addition, new direction denim sector improving rubbing washing fastness values products. As result studies, product weight/coffee ratio 8/1 high crocking fastnesses without major losses tone.
